BUSINESS ADVOCACY
Our Business Advocacy Committee lobbies for key issues that impact Melbourne and Brevard County’s business community. In keeping with the Melbourne Regional Chamber’s mission, the Business Advocacy Committee’s main focus is protecting the business friendly climate of Melbourne, as we work in conjunction with all the chambers across Brevard County.
When creating and running a new business, you likely do not have the extra time necessary to commit to governmental relations. That is exactly why we’re here! While you’re engulfed in entrepreneurship, we work to keep you aware of anything coming down the pipeline that could be consequential to the business you are building.
朋友, if you’re looking to become a member of a chamber that has your interests at heart and lobbies on your behalf, you’ve landed in exactly the right place!
What we do
The Business Advocacy Committee has a single goal – to keep Melbourne and
Brevard County business friendly.
How do we achieve that goal?
-
We facilitate relationships between and among decision makers in the private and public realms, one conversation at a time.
-
We communicate with our elected officials at every level of government, helping them understand how proposed legislation will impact small and large businesses.
-
We keep our partners apprised of what they need to know to protect their business from onerous regulations and legislation.
Committee Membership
Participation in the Business Advocacy Committee is open to all Melbourne Regional Chamber partners. Committee members include businesses and organizations with strong interests in the political process, business professionals, elected officials, and individuals seeking a voice in the governmental process.
Our advocacy strategies are informed by the needs of our committee members, developed by a core group of professionals, approved by our diverse Board, and driven by our leadership team.
